A: No, it is impossible to be sure a chemical will be safe on all finishes. We can say that on a clear coat, it is safe. When used as directed on any quality OEM painted or chromed finish then it is also safe. When used in the sun or on a hot surface or mixed with another chemical, results can become unpredictable. On a matte or satin finish, caution should ALWAYS be used because you cannot polish the surface to fix it in case you cause an issue. On anodized wheels, you should absolutely NOT use this or any other strong cleaner.

Q: How does this compare to MultiX?
A: This is far superior to MultiX for cleaning tyres.

Q: Will this product affect PERL?
A: Absolutely: It will remove PERL.

Q: How does this affect BlackOut?

Spotless’s proprietary blend of carefully balanced acids safely breaks down mineral deposits on most hard materials, and can even be used on CQUARTZ coatings, helping you keep your vehicle spot-free.

• Safely neutralizes hard water spots and stains on plastics, emblems, glass, paint and modern wheels with a clear coat.
• Essential for preparing matte paint for coating and/or maintenance.

For Bodypaint:

• Wash the vehicle with Reset, and rinse and dry the paint.
• Work indoors or in the shade on cool panels.
• Prepare 2 damp Terry Weave Towels.
• Spray Spotless 2.0 directly onto the panel or into 1 damp Terry Weave Towel and spread on the affected area.
• Allow 30 seconds to 1 minute for Spotless 2.0 to break down the minerals on the surface before wiping the affected area to help loosen the mineral deposits.
• Do not let the chemical dry on the surface, wipe off with a 2nd damp Terry Weave Towel or apply Spotless 2.0 again.
• Repeat if necessary.
• After cleaning each panel, thoroughly rinse the panel with running water and dry it before moving to the next panel.

For Emblems and Wheels:

• Clean the area with Reset, rinse and dry the surface.
• Always test in an inconspicuous area first. Spray Spotless 2.0 onto an applicator, microfiber or brush of your choice and apply to the affected area 1 section at a time.
• Allow Spotless 2.0 to dwell on the affected area for 30 seconds to 1 minute without letting it dry before agitating to help break up the mineral deposits or stains.
• Repeat if necessary.
• Rinse thoroughly with running water after cleaning each area and dry.

Textured Plastics:

• Clean the plastics with Reset, rinse and dry.
• Spray Spotless 2.0 directly on the textured plastic or apply to a damp microfiber towel and wipe it onto the surface generously to allow it to get into the pores.
• Allow Spotless 2.0 for 30 seconds to 1 minute to break down the mineral deposits and contamination before using a detailing brush to agitate and work the contamination out of the pores.
• Repeat if necessary.
• Rinse thoroughly with running water after cleaning each section and dry.

For Glass:

• Apply Spotless 2.0 onto effect glass with a Terry Weave Towel and allow to dwell for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
• Use the same Terry Weave Towel to polish the glass to agitate the minerals or for stubborn water spots apply some Spotless 2.0 to a polishing pad and polish the glass by machine or by hand.
• After spot removal thoroughly rinses the glass and adjacent panels with running water or wash with car shampoo and dry.

Tips and Tricks:

• Identify water spots by water clinging to painted surfaces such as very slow sheeting or droplets catching on the panel, wipe the surface lightly with a damp microfiber towel and look for the outline of spots (also works for glass) using indirect light.
• Always work with cool panels out of the sun and wind.
• Keep the working area small, and complete cleaning section by section
• Allow the product to dwell on the affected area without drying for maximum efficiency of breaking down the contamination
• Be careful of spray mist that may drift on to adjacent panels or glass.

Descale neglected paint! Revive your coating! Remove hard minerals and water spots, all while you wash!

Descale from CarPro is an all-new acidic car shampoo released for SEMA 2021. CarPro Descale was designed from the ground up for reviving ceramic coatings that have minerals built up on them.

Over time, minerals (sometimes seen as water spots) and sometimes not easily visible will “clog” or cause the surface to be less smooth. This in turn creates heavier surface tension which in turn does not allow water and dirt to shed as easily from the surface. Most communities suffer from this situation (often known as “hard water”). CarPro Descale car shampoo was created to help remove and strip these stubborn minerals from coated or even non-coated cars. It breaks down the built-up minerals that reduce gloss and restores the smoothness of ceramic coatings while bringing back its hydrophobic nature impaired by mineral stains!

While fantastic for freeing ceramic coatings and strong nano sealants (like CarPro Hydro2 or CarPro HydroFoam) of baked-on mineral deposits, Descale is not the correct shampoo for a regular wash of a waxed or sealed car as it may remove the wax or sealant. At CarPro India we recommend this product for coated cars subjected to an abundance of mineral deposits, for quarterly maintenance washes, and for neglected vehicles with mineral stains as an initial prep step before decontamination and detailing steps.

Like many CarPro products, Descale can be used “full circle” at the start of the detailing process or as maintenance for your CQuartz-coated vehicle. It can remove waxes and “old school” sealants, prepare the paint for polishing, or as it was designed remove traffic film and minerals on coated and non-coated vehicles. Buy yours today!

1. CQuartz-coated vehicles that are subjected to hard water.

FAQs:

Q: Where does Descale fit in a maintenance lineup? Especially for those using Lift?
A: Descale is the best option if water spots are the culprit. Lift is the better option if a snow-foaming pre-wash is an integral part of the wash process.
Q: Will this bring back the hydrophobic effects of my ceramic coating?
A: That depends on the cause of the missing hydrophobics. If it is due to mineral buildup on the coating then yes, this will solve the beading!
Q: Will this product strip wax, sealants, and coatings off?
A: It will not strip off coatings! However, it will alter or even remove most waxes. As for sealants, it will alter weaker sealants but will not damage nano sealants such as Hydro2 Foam/Hydro2.
Q: How sensitive is this product on windshields/windows? Is it safe?
A: Absolutely! Just make sure the surfaces are cool, rinse thoroughly, and follow the application directions on our site!
Q: Is this product best for weekly wash/maintenance?
A: No, Reset is best for weekly washes unless you live in areas with too much hard water and rain. In most cases, Reset would be used weekly and this would be used “as needed”.

How to use

Directions:

• Make sure the surface is clean and fully decontaminated. Use CarPro Iron X, Tar X, and clay on the surface to ensure all contamination is removed.
• Use Carpro Eraser (or similar) to remove oils before application. Make sure the surface is cool and dry. You may wish to polish the surface with CarPro Essence Reflect to create a higher gloss before using
• An eraser to ensure maximum durability.
• Apply 10-12 drops on a microfiber applicator; apply the product evenly to one small area of roughly 24×24” / 60cm x 60cm with complete coverage and an even layer.
• Use a CarPro 2Face Towel to remove any excess. CQuartz Lite does not need to be left to cure on the surface so it should be removed immediately. Check well with an appropriate light source to ensure you remove any high spots (an excess product that was not levelled) or residue. Note: For a short period of time after application, high spots that were not removed immediately can be corrected by applying more
• CQuartz Lite on that area and wiping off immediately.
• After the paint is free of residue, leave to dry for 4 hours prior to getting wet. Any water drops during the first 48 hours should be removed before drying to prevent water spots. We also recommend the use of CarPro
• Reload 1 hour after application to protect from water spots during the first 48 hours.

Precautions:

• As usual, we recommend an appropriate Face mask and nitrile gloves suitable for protection from solvents while applying.
• If the spray method is utilized, proper masking is critical and isolation is recommended from unprotected objects, creatures, or people.
